Description

Help the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird!

Join San Diego Bird Alliance and the local community as we come together for the first restoration event of the season after the devastating vandalism incident that occurred at Mariner's Point mid July. The monitoring grid system will need repairing, broken chick shelters fragments will need to be gathered and replaced with new ones before we can begin normal enhancement efforts to ensure the nesting site is suitable. Mariner's Point is one of the most important California Least Tern nesting sites in Mission Bay and will need your help!

All supplies will be provided including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and hat.

The closest address to the nesting site is 1215 Mariners Way, San Diego, CA 92109. Detailed directions will be emailed after registration.
