About the Event:

For the very first Kendall-Frost Marsh: Wonders of the Wetlands speaker series you get the chance to meet Karina Ornelas.

Karina is the Conservation Outreach Coordinator for the San Diego Bird Alliance and continues to spend time studying Conservation Biology and Ecology. She is well-versed in the history of Kendall-Frost Marsh and many of the different wildlife that live there, however none closer to her heart than the Ridgway's Rail. One of the projects she is working on is monitoring the Rail nesting platform cameras that are set up in the Kendall-Frost Marsh, all to protect and track this federally endangered species.

Come hear from her and learn how you can become more involved in Kendall-Frost Marsh.
