Summary

Help restore habitat for birds and other wildlife!

Description

Join San Diego Bird Alliance for a habitat restoration event at the Port of San Diego's Sweetwater Park! This newly restored coastal sage scrub habitat is adjacent to the Sweetwater marsh where many endangered, migratory and resident species can be found. In restoring the transition zone, we will add to the area's ability to support a diverse array of wildlife.

We will be planting native plants, so come prepared in closed-toed shoes and layers. A reusable water bottle and hat are also recommended. We will provide the gloves, tools, snacks and water.

Park at the Gunpowder Point Dr. Parking Lot, and then walk along the bike path to the restoration site (about 10 minutes)
