Description

Join San Diego Bird Alliance for a vegetation monitoring event at the Tijuana Slough, part of the Tijuana River watershed!

You may have already helped with the restoration of this coastal sage scrub habitat. Now it is time to measure the success of our work by measuring dvisersity and abundance of native and invasive species. We will be using vegetation surveying methods that are replicated across the county, so this opportunity is a great resume builder! No experience is necessary.

We will be working outside amongst the vegetation, so come prepared in closed-toed shoes and long pants. A reusable water bottle and sun gear is also recommended. We will provide all of the tools, snacks and water.

Park near the Imperial Beach Blvd & 3rd St stop in Imperial Beach. The site is located right next to the bus stop.
