Description

Join San Diego Bird Alliance for a vegetation monitoring event at Grand Caribe!

You may have already helped with the restoration of this coastal sage scrub habitat. Now it is time to measure the success of our work by measuring diversity and abundance of native and invasive species. We will be using vegetation surveying methods that are replicated across the county, so this opportunity is a great resume builder! No experience is necessary.

We will be working outside amongst the vegetation, so come prepared in closed-toed shoes and long pants. A reusable water bottle and sun gear is also recommended. We will provide all of the tools, snacks and water.

Park near the Grand Caribe Causeway, and then walk past the grassy lawn to the work site
