Help the California Least Tern

You may have joined San Diego Bird Alliance on many occassions restoring nesting habitat for the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird. 

Now, we present the opportunity to become a part of TERNWATCHERS, a volunteer program dedicated to monitoring predators and safeguarding the nesting areas of the endangered California Least Tern. Your contribution will support the nesting success by vigilantly watching over nests and recording disturbances observed in Mission Bay. The program runs from April to September offering flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Register for the two-part training now taking place on May 12th and May 13th.

• Monday, May 12th from 6-7 PM, we'll meet via Zoom to over the program in detail
• Tuesday, May 13th from 6-7 PM, we'll meet at Mariner's Point to go through a mock survey together navigating Survey123
