Summary

Peaceful, easy shoreline walk in Imperial Beach

Description

Do you love long walks on the beach? Birds do!

San Diego Audubon Field Trips are dedicated to the goal of introducing newer birders, visiting birders, and anyone else who is interested, to the varied habitats and avian inhabitants of San Diego County.

Sunday, May 18, 2025, 8:00AM – 11:00 AM
Leaders: Peter Thomas, John Bruin, and others.

This is a nice walk along the beach, starting from the southernmost end of Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach, and proceeding south to the mouth of the Tijuana River. We will look for migrating shorebirds, as well as summer arrivals. Special target birds will be Least Terns and Western Snowy Plovers. Finding the bits of kelp, mollusks, and other marine life that have washed up along the shore is an added attraction.

On-line registration is required. Capped at 12 participants.
