Description

Help the California Least Tern

Join San Diego Audubon for the last restoration event of the year where we'll be enhancing habitat for the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird, at North Fiesta Island. North Fiesta Island is one of the largest California Least Tern nesting sites in Mission Bay and would benefit immensley from the community's help!

We will be removing invasive weeds to make room for these nesting endangered birds.

All supplies will be provided including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and hat.

We'll be meeting at the north end of Fiesta Island just beyond Youth Camp. Detailed directions will be emailed after registration.
