Famosa Slough Habitat Restoration and Maintenance

Famosa Slough is a unique wetlands habitat in the middle of an urban area. This habitat sees many challenges and yet it supports over 30 species of birds this time of year, from Shorebirds and Passerine species to Raptors and Terns. Come join us in helping Friends of Famosa Slough with ongoing trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, trash clean up and on-your-own birding. Show up when you can and leave when you want!

What to bring: Refillable water bottle, close-toed shoes, appropriate weather attire, hat and sunscreen

What is provided: All necessary tools, water and snacks
