Bird Sit at Santee Lakes

Join us for a Bird Sit! It is a stationary birding activity, where we go someplace where the birds are plentiful, set up some optics, and watch the birds from the comfort of a chair.

Binoulars will be available for those who are new to birding. We'll have spotting scopes, too. Experienced birders will be on hand to talk about the birds we see and keep track of them in eBird.

Meet us under the Gazebo near lake 5! We'll have a couple of extra chairs, but if you have a camp chair that you like, please bring it along! We'll help you get it set up if you need help. 

Sign up ahead of time and we'll cover your parking fee for you. (The park has a $6 per vehicle fee to park in the lots that are closest to where we will be birding.)

ADA restrooms are nearby, as well as extra large handicap parking spots.
