Birding Outing: Lakeside Riverpark

Join us at Lakeside Riverpark as we explore San Diego and meet other likeminded birders and hikers along the way! The Trail will be a relaxed, easy walk with lots of opportunity for unique wildlife viewing.

Lakeside's River Park Conservancy was established in 2001 to restore 100 acres of depleted sand mine on the San Diego River.  Over two decades later, we offer critical riparian habitat for wildlife and important ecosystem services to the surrounding community.  River park wetlands provide flood protection, improve water quality, and provide the conditions for life for native species.
