Join BIRDS by BIJS for an inspiring evening all about how you can bring birds back to your garden! You’ll learn practical tips for planning and maintaining a California native plant garden that attracts and supports local birds, while also discovering the stories behind the birds that visit our yards and open spaces.
California is home to over 5,000 native plant species and 700 recorded bird species—but many of our native plants are now endangered, putting birds and other wildlife at risk.
San Diego Bird Alliance will be there to share conservation successes and challenges for threatened coastal birds like the Least Tern and Ridgeway’s Rail.
California Native Plant Society will also be highlighting the incredible diversity of California’s native plants and some of San Diego’s rarest species.
Plus: Enjoy hard kombucha, soft drinks, and tacos, and stick around afterward for a gear giveaway!
This isn’t just a talk—it’s a celebration of birds, plants, and community, and you won’t want to miss it!
