Celebra el Día de Muertos / Celebrate Day of the Dead : Sweetwater Bike Path

Spread your wings with the San Diego Bird Alliance and The Nat this Día de Muertos! Dive into a day of fun and nature as we plant native plants to welcome monarchs, explore the wonders of wildlife on a nature walk, and embark on a birdwatching adventure. Connect with nature, contribute to community science, and celebrate with the whole family! This newly restored coastal sage scrub habitat is adjacent to the Sweetwater marsh where many endangered, migratory and resident species can be found. In restoring the transition zone, we will add to the area's ability to support a diverse array of wildlife. 

All supplies will be provided, including tools, gloves, water, and snacks, but come prepared in a hat and closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle.

¡Extiende tus alas con la San Diego Bird Alliance y The Nat este Día de Muertos! Disfruta de un día lleno de diversión y naturaleza mientras plantamos especies nativas para dar la bienvenida a las mariposas monarca, exploramos las maravillas de la vida silvestre en una caminata por la naturaleza y nos embarcamos en una aventura de observación de aves. ¡Conéctate con la naturaleza, contribuye a la ciencia comunitaria y celebra en familia! Este hábitat de matorral costero recientemente restaurado se encuentra junto a los humedales de Sweetwater, donde se pueden encontrar muchas especies en peligro, migratorias y residentes. Al restaurar la zona de transición, aumentaremos la capacidad del área para albergar una diversidad de vida silvestre.

Se proporcionarán todos los materiales, incluyendo herramientas, guantes, agua y bocadillos, pero ven preparado con gorra y zapatos cerrados, y trae una botella de agua reutilizable.

Park at the Gunpowder Point Dr. Parking Lot, and then walk along the bike path to the restoration site you will see The Nat & SDBA canopy

• Parking lot Address: 845 E Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910 (Just west of the Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay RV Resort – follow E Street to west of I-5 toward the Living Coast Discovery Center. After the RV resort, there will be a large Sweetwater Park monument sign at a roundabout. Go right at the roundabout. The parking lot will be on the left.)
