About Lake Hodges
Lake Hodges is a lake and reservoir located in Southern California, about 31 miles north of San Diego and just south of Escondido, California. When full, the reservoir has 1,234 acres, a maximum water depth of 115 feet and 27 miles of shoreline. Lake Hodges is owned by the city of San Diego and supplies water to the San Dieguito Water District and Santa Fe Irrigation District.
It is a popular spot for fishing and water activities, including kayaking and SUP-ing! The shoreline offers picnic tables, barbecue grills, and an amazing 8 miles of lovely riparian and oak woodland trail around. Further along the trail, hikers can enjoy chapparal plant communities as well as coastal sage scrub in the hillsides and valleys surrounding the lake.

Sobre el Lago Hodges
El Lago Hodges es un lago y embalse ubicado en el sur de California, a unos 50 kilómetros al norte de San Diego y justo al sur de Escondido, California. Cuando está lleno, el embalse tiene 495 hectáreas, una profundidad máxima de 35 metros y 43 kilómetros de costa. El Lago Hodges es propiedad de la ciudad de San Diego y suministra de agua al Distrito de Agua de San Dieguito y al Distrito de Irrigación de Santa Fe.
Es un lugar popular para la pesca y otras actividades acuáticas, como piragüismo y paddle surf. La costa ofrece mesas de picnic, parrillas y un increíble sendero de 12.8 kilómetros de hermosos bosques ribereños y de robles. Más adelante, los senderistas pueden disfrutar de las comunidades de chaparrales, así como del matorral costero de salvia en las laderas y valles que rodean el lago.
