San Diego Bird Alliance is out here with another Queer Birding Outing!
These hikes are a safe space for all LGBTQ+IA and all allies. In this space, we expect everyone to be respectful of identity and chosen pronouns. Pronouns: What and Why
Join us for a nature walk that is for all people who seek a non-judgemental community, where we celebrate diversity among birds and birders.
We're kicking off the year at one of our favorite birding spots in East County: Harry Griffen Regional Park. Come for the birds, stay for the nerds! This will be an easy walk along mostly grass and crushed stone trail. This park offers diverse habitats: open fields, eucalyptus and pine stands, and an amazing section of restored native chapparal scrub. In turn, we'll find an array of birds with everything from sparrows and wrens to hawks to parrots and more! Most notably, a group of Pin-tailed Wydah have been spotted here over the past year.
