Live your best car-free lifestyle with San Diego Bird Alliance!
We will begin our journey just off the Orange Line at Encanto / 62nd Transit Station. From there, we will walk about 10 minutes to the south entrance of Radio Canyon. Here, we will enjoy birds of the urban canyon - both the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher and the endangered California Gnatcatcher have been spotted here!
After exploring the canyon, we will hop back on the trolley, taking the Orange Line then Green Line trolleys to Fashion Valley Transit Center. Just across the street from this popular shopping center is the San Diego River. The riparian habitat attracts all kinds of birds, from dabbling and diving ducks to gulls and cormorants to small songbirds. Keep your eyes (and ears) out for warblers and finches!
Hop on and hop off anytime. Register here and we'll provide you the approximate itinerary a couple of days before the event. That way, you can meet us wherever we're at, and head home whenever you like!
Trolley fares are your responsibility! Unfortunately we are unable to provide passes for this free event.
Registration is required! 20 participants max.
