Community habitat restoration event removing invasive plants from a California Least Tern nesting preserve in Mission Bay, San Diego.
Description
Help the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird!
Join San Diego Bird Alliance and the local community as we come together for a restoration event at Stony Point, one of the state's Top 10 productive nesting preserves. Our goal is to remove vegetation (both native and non-native) to enhance the preserve to ensure it is suitable for the terns' arrival in April.
All supplies will be provided, including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and hat.
