Description

Friday, April 17!

8:30 AM-11:30 AM

San Diego Bird Alliance proudly presents... another Queer Hike!

This month: Oak Oasis County Preserve

These hikes are a safe space for all LGBTQ+IA and allies. In this space, we expect everyone to be respectful of identity and chosen pronouns. Pronouns: What and Why

Join us for a nature walk that is for all people who seek a non-judgemental community, where we celebrate diversity among birds and birders.

Oak Oasis County Preserve "boasts nearly 400 acres of chaparral, manzanita, and woodlands." The 2.5-mile loop is a moderately challenging trail on packed dirt. Sinking into the oak woodland, this place feels like a fairytale hidden in the hills of Lakeside. A climb up into chapparal scrub leads to amazing views of San Vicente Reservoir.

Carpooling will be made available from the San Diego Bird Alliance office at 4010 Morena Blvd. and the nearby Balboa Ave. trolley station. Contact weichler@sandiegobirdalliance.org
