Come out for a volunteer trail maintenance day at Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary!

Description

Volunteers will help keep the trails clear and functional by trimming back overgrowth and clearing debris. Silverwood has 5 miles of trail so each day will focus on a different section of the preserve.

Work parties will be led by Dylan, the Silverwood coordinator. You can expect to learn about the native plants, animals and ecology that makes Silverwood unique while working on the trails.

🏞️ About Silverwood:
The 785-acre Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary is managed by the San Diego Bird Alliance. Its goal is to protect a large area of coastal chaparral and riparian woodland in a natural and undisturbed state. More than 324 native plant species and 124 bird species have been observed there, along with various reptiles and mammals such as mule deer, bobcats, and raccoons.
