Gas prices got you down? Leave the car at home and watch birds with San Diego Bird Alliance!
After we meet at Fashion Valley Transit Station off the Green Line Trolley, we will cross the street and walk along the San Diego River to look for birds in and around the river. Glimpses through the foliage reveal many ducks, gulls, and egrets and herons. Along the river's edge, riparian trees and shrubs house several small songbirds - including, at this time of year, many migrating species and signs of nesting. Keep your eyes (and ears) out for warblers and finches!
From Fashion Valley, we will walk east along the river for 1 to 2 miles until riding the trolley back to our point of origin - the trail is connected to 3 other trolley stations: Hazard Center, Mission Valley Center, and Rio Vista. The path is paved, flat, and wide, making this trail accessible whether you're traveling by wheelchair, stroller, bike, or foot.
Trolley fares are your responsibility! Unfortunately we are unable to provide passes for this event.
Registration is required! 30 participants max.
