Speaker: Dr. Melissa Liotta

Dr. Melissa Liotta, Fish Biologist with NOAA Fisheries at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center, will share the results of her ongoing community-based fish monitoring program at Kendall-Frost Marsh Reserve. For the past several years, Dr. Liotta has led fish seining efforts at KFM, engaging volunteers in collecting valuable data that helps scientists better understand the fish communities that depend on this important wetland habitat.

  • Please note that only street parking is available for this event. An alternate parking spot can be found at Crown Point Park: San Diego, CA 92109.

• Do I have to pre-register for the event?

  • No, however due to limited seating capacity within the KFM Field Station, please plan to arrive on time to secure a seat.

• Is this an event for all ages?

  • Although the event is listed for all ages, this is a speaker series where we will have a speaker give a presentation on a topic regarding the Kendall-Frost Marsh. We ask that everyone who registers be prepared to engage in a thoughtful discussion and maintain a respectful environment.
