Bilingual Paint Party: Native Seed Library at Otay Mesa-Nestor Public Library

Join us at the Otay Mesa - Nestor Public Library as we inaugurate our newest Native Seed Library! Never heard of this before? Learn more about our Native Seed Library program here. 

We will be painting the Native Seed Library structure and packing seeds that will help provide the Otay community access to native plant species that they can grow in their own yards. Growing native plants helps provide a natural resource for our local bird species. Native plants provide food, nesting materials, shelter and help promote ecosystem connectivity. 

Where to meet: Otay Mesa - Nestor Public Library at 3003 Coronado Ave, San Diego, CA 92154 

What is provided: Art supplies, packing materials, educational information provided in English and Spanish, and native seeds to take home that can be grown in your yard.

¡Acompáñanos en la Biblioteca Pública Otay Mesa–Nestor para inaugurar nuestra nueva Biblioteca de Semillas Nativas! ¿Aún no conoces este programa? ¡Ven y descubre cómo funciona!

Estaremos pintando la estructura de la Biblioteca de Semillas Nativas y empacando semillas que brindarán a la comunidad de Otay acceso gratuito a especies de plantas nativas para cultivar en sus propios jardines.
Cultivar plantas nativas ayuda a crear un hábitat saludable para nuestras aves locales. Estas plantas les proporcionan alimento, materiales para anidar, refugio y contribuyen a mantener la conectividad de los ecosistemas.

Lugar de encuentro: Biblioteca Pública Otay Mesa–Nestor,  3003 Coronado Ave, San Diego, CA 92154 

Se proporcionará: Materiales de arte, materiales para empacar semillas, información educativa en inglés y español, y semillas de plantas nativas para llevar a casa y cultivar en tu jardín.
