Latino Conservation Week Celebration at J street

Join us for a family-friendly celebration connecting our community with the coast and the natural spaces we all value. This event brings together community members, conservation organizations, and partners to learn, build connections, and celebrate our shared commitment to caring for the environment.

Enjoy a day of hands-on activities and outdoor fun, including bird watching, face painting, and kayaking, while learning more about local habitats and ways to get involved in stewardship.

We are grateful to everyone who contributes their time, knowledge, resources, and enthusiasm to make this celebration possible. Together, we are building a more inclusive, welcoming, and connected conservation community while creating meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to engage with and care for the environment.

Schedule for the day:

• 9:00 AM – Kick-Off

  • Welcome to LCW 

  • Kayak Clean-up (Registration prior)

• 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Community Booths & Engagement 

• 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM – Postcard Activities 

• 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM –  Face Painting

• 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Lotería

  • Games every 45 minutes 

• 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM – Birdwatching & Plant Walk

• 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM -Food 

  • Available while supplies last 

• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Birdwatching & Plant Walk

• 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Birdwatching & Plant Walk

• 2:00 PM – End of Event
