Monthly, every third Saturday of the month, 9-11 am

Description: Come join us at Famosa Slough, one of San Diego’s most popular hotspots for birding! All levels of experiences are welcome. We go at a casual/slow pace and the walk usually lasts about 2 hours, but you can leave early if you'd like.

Location Information

This walk will be on a dirt path where there are a few benches for resting. The path is narrow and uneven at many points. There are no restrooms available. Lastly, this location can be very loud at moments, with planes overhead, nearby freeway traffic, and heavy use on the pathway along the river. It doesn't discourage the birds, seemingly, but please take care of yourself and plan accordingly.
