Free Programs at SDBF: Field Sketching and Nature Journaling Workshop

This workshop, led by artist/illustrator Gary Bloomfield, will begin with a classroom session to introduce drawing tools and techniques for art reference, visual note taking, and other ways to create one's own nature journaling experience. The workshop will also include a crash course in bird anatomy shorthand for capturing gestures in moving birds. The group will then head outdoors to to the river mouth to practice these field sketing techniques. Bring your own paper and drawing supplies.
