Summary
Description
Join the San Diego Bird Alliance for a photo stroll at Torrey Pines State Beach and Natural Reserve on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 7am to 10am.
The purpose of these strolls is to foster a community of individuals who enjoy the combination of bird watching and bird photography. Our hope is that we can all improve our bird photography skills by learning from each other and teaching others.
Our walks typically last 2-3 hours. This time, we will cover Torrey Pines State Beach, and those who wish can hike into the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve for different scenery and photo opportunities. February is typically a good time to see some of the Peregrine Falcons nesting in the Torrey Pines cliffs, as well as many different passerine, raptor, and shorebirds. If you’re interested in learning and/or teaching about bird photography, please join us and bring the photography gear you’re most comfortable using. Cellphones are welcome!
For this walk, we will meet at the North Beach Parking Lot at 1800 McGonigle Road. Parking passes will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who RSVP.
This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is required.
