This will be an overnight trip to the desert. Anza-Borrego is noted for its wildflowers in the spring. The desert birds that we’ll be looking for include Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Black-throated Sparrow, Black-tailed Gnatcatcher, Verdin, and early spring migrants. Thrashers are possible. Viewing the Swainson’s Hawk migration at the Borrego Hawkwatch should be a highlight. A group dinner will be an option for Wednesday evening for those who wish to participate. Arrangements for accommodations will be up to the individual participants. Further details after registration. Capped at 8 participants.
